I Have an Issue with Rumors

Like conspiracy theories, tech rumors are fun to mentally throw around as a way to imagine the possibilities of our strange and wonderful world. But to accept them as fact before they’ve been 100% verified? Well, that’s just silly. A grain of salt does not a nugget of truth make. There’s nothing wrong with speculating the “what ifs” surrounding future versions of our favorite hardware or software, but if you treat them as gospel just because a friend of a guy who lives next door to your aunt’s yoga instructor’s fiance’s pool cleaner’s rabbi says you should, then I’ve got some sasquatch repellant to sell you, friend!

Fact: I’ve never had anyone complain that it didn’t work.
