For the past week or so, I’ve been having massive issues trying to log in to my YouTube account from the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, or iPad – independent of OS, I believe.

This may have something to do with Google’s phasing out classic YouTube accounts in exchange for the same user’s Google ID – or it just may be a ghost in the machine.

I thought it was me at first, but after I mentioned something about it the other day on my Facebook page, several other users reported the same problem.

There’s no telling what the issue is, if YouTube knows about it, or when it’ll be addressed (to allow us to more easily manage our YouTube accounts from Apple’s range of portable products). Until then, I’ve taken to making a simple Web shortcut to the touch-enhanced YouTube site on my home screen and go through it if I want to read comments, etc.
