Just in case, you can still use Seesmic services.

You can do your video on yourtube, include it in the Seesmic Player which could be include in any blog page (with html code) and provide an easy way to “video reply”.

I’ve had a youtube for about since it started and never got a directors accoutn so im stuck with 10 min vids.

Youtube popularity is changing the very way that media is created and accepted by the world we live in today. This is being taken seriously by all current media outlets and up incoming media producers not only to promote but to deliver their content much like you Chris. A few months ago, I came across a new three minutes show that started out on Youtube and gained so much popularity that it picked up by a network. Youtube is a power house that should be used and/or exploited by everyone especially by those who have a message, content, and ideas they want people to know about. Although there are other video sites Youtube is the only fastest way to get the message out and get noticed. The downside to this is that there are people that post crazy and strange things just because they want a few seconds or minutes of fame. I just wish that people would post meaningful videos and not just looking for fame.

I love YouTube! It has everything for everybody. I can’t think of one person that is bored that can’t find anything to watch on youtube. It’s like the google of video entertainment!

I didn’y know about you tube till one day my kids came home asking to go there to watch charlie the unicorn,since then we’ve watched many videos.I didn’t know about flickr eather(it turns out I have a pro account with my DSL service)till I clicked a link to Chris’s flickr page.Since then I’ve sent many links to friends and family for both sites.

I’ve known about youtube for a few years but it wasen’t until recently like the past 7 months that I got an account and started uploading videos. I know that I dont have the following that chris has but I am starting to get a following with a few people subscribing to my videos every week. The amount of information and amount of videos on youtube can fancy anyones needs just for watching funny stuff or learning how do do something as little as using a simple program. What would the internet be like without youtube: dull, drab, boring maybe.

Although I think I am defying the point of this post, I thought I would mention that just because MOST people know about YouTube, it doesn’t mean that you should not post on other video sites as well. I am a starting video podcaster (as shown in an earlier blog post) and I actually usually get more views on my Revver than I do on YouTube!! Sorry to defy your point, but I thought it would be good to make it clear to the people that although many people know of YouTube, other sites also have traffic.

YouTube is now one of the biggest online communities in the world & the internet that it is almost a standard “go to” site if anyone wants or needs to research, watch, discuss, or even publish their own work (given they do not violate any terms & conditions).

YouTube can be accessed and be used by anyone. I love how because of this, anyone in the world can see your or other’s talent over the internet for free. You can search anything, and as long as it does not violate their terms & agreement(s), you can find almost anything that you would of wanted, from music videos to product reviews to one’s encounter with a ghost in his house and letting the world know about it, but what I also like where YouTube can be put in one’s life is if you ever get put in the situation to “prove it”, grab a camera or webcam and you can prove it, and show everyone your accomplishments, your opinions, your ideas.

I wish YouTube has a special .exe program to make the experience better, for novice or advanced users for those familiar or unfamiliar with the network.

I agree. You Tube has been a successful medium in this front. I was originally pulling for Meta Cafe, but they failed miserably. I think what YouTube should do, is contact the other sites, and see if they can buy them. As Google owns them, it shouldn’t be a hard purchase. It would really unify the Videos on the internet.

Im am on youtube daily. Its mostly for Chris’s Posts that I may have missed live or stuff I wanna see again. And its usually the first place I hit when I want info on somthing, want some quick entertainment, or am just plain bored. On long car rides I can watch youtube videos on my iPhone to pass the time. I even have posted a few little comedy shorts on there. It has become the king of video internet. There has not been a time where i have searched for somthign specific i want to see and have nothing come up there is pretty much a video for anything imaginable on youtube. I think it will stay ontop for a long time

There is no question that YouTube has managed to bring online video to the forefront of the internet’s consciousness. YouTube has done for the amateur video producer what Google did for search engines. It has become the everyman’s video outlet to the public, and now we’re seeing attempts by other sites to capitalize on a phenomenon.

But until someone figures out how to take this to its next stage of evolution in online video for the masses, YouTube will likely continue to lead the pack. We can only hope that they do not allow their place at the forefront to stifle ingenuity that will lead to that evolution.

In a world where so many company’s are putting their products behind closed doors and getting more restrictive about what you can and can’t do, this is a breath of fresh air. I will probably never use this feature, but the fact that they are opening this up to people is, in my opinion, a major step forward.

Youtube is so common today that almost anyone who has visited or used the computer in the last couple of years knows about it. If you are trying to find a video the first place people go is to youtube. There is so much there and most people go there for what they want. Other websites may offer better quality but Youtube has the largest community and is the most well known of any site. I recently started posting videos of my school it is a great website and almost everyone knows about it
