I used to be a big follower of WD.. and then an ancient darkness fell upon my drives. After about 2-3 years.. they just crash. Went though about 5 hard drives in 3 months time. So far maxtor has been really good though, and from what I read their access time is just a bit faster and they run quiter too! DO be cautious with those WD HDDs.
