I've owned a 31' Fleetwood Tioga for the past ten years--has it been that long?--that I've taken from Florida to Alaska. Being a military nomad has its advantages and having a home on wheels is a treat. I can reach into my own fridge and grab my own beverage of choice and not pay the hotel bar way too much money! And sleepting on my own bed each night also has its advantages.Dumping the tanks is just part of life. My job already hands me enough human waste that I really don't mind dealing with the actual stuff. That and a good set of plastic gloves work well!

Nice rig. Of course, we live in houses next to each other most of the time, so we all know how to stay out of each other's hair, which is a great benefit. Without similar experience, and with different temperaments, it might not work as well for other people -- or for me with my in-laws, for that matter.

My parents, wife, two daughters, and I just shared a small condo in Honolulu for over a week, and it went great. But I lust for an RV, having never had one in my life. I want to escape.

No, I could not handle parents for a week, close or not-close quarters.
