Would You Like a Computer Contest has Ended
Hey everyone! Our HP Magic contest is officially over! We will be going through all of the posts and comments tonight, and will announce our winner tomorrow. Please keep in mind that any comments made from here on out will not count towards helping someone to win.
Thank you all for participating… and good luck! We were completely overwhelmed with the amount of submissions we received (and underestimated the time it would take to edit / prepare those that were 99% perfect to begin with).
This is Kat, posting an update for Chris. He’s been sick with food poisoning since early last night. Ponzi reports that he’s completely knocked out, but I wanted to express my thanks to those of you who played by the rules and remained patient with us. I also wanted to thank both Ryan Courtade and Jamie Inscore, who helped us get things done – and kept things running smoothly for the duration).
We’re finding it difficult to discover the winner, as we’re starting to peel back layers of duplicate IP addresses, use of proxies to comment, as well as checking for comment validity (remember, insipid comments would be rejected or would NOT count towards the total number). Thanks again for your patience.

I’d just like to take this opportunity to thank everybody involved in moderating posts/comments for this giveaway. YOu guys rock! Also, I wanted to thank Chris for doing the giveaway like this. I’ve seen a lot of awesome blog posts go out due to this event and I’m willing to bet that it’s a lot of content we may not have seen otherwise.

Chris,
I love your blog and I loved this contest! You’ve always had infinite amounts of great content – this just adds to it. It’s been a fun and entertaining week, no doubt.
Thanks for having one of the best blogs in the nation, for bringing cheer into the lives of your readers, giving tips and writing lessons to those in need, discounts & advice to people you help everyday with your amazing videos, and in keeping with the gift of giving, you’ve certainly helped pay it forward. Waaaay forward. You’ve been ahead of the pack for well over a decade.
Where would newsletters and the internet be without Chris Pirillo? Who knows, but what I do know is it’d be damn boring and I’m grateful we don’t have to know the answer to that question.
Keep up the fantastic job you’re doing. You Rule.

I’d just like to wish everyone good luck! I wont win because mine just went up last night, but I’m just happy I got featured on the blog. :)
Thanks Chris for providing us with a contest and useful info at the same time! A lot of the other blogs running the contest did something like “follow our twitter account and post a comment”.

Thanks to all involved, I met lots of great people and had the chance to read lots of fun articles. As I thought about ya;ll having to moderate and sort all of this, i kept flashing back to the time I decided to give a college class of 1200 students an essay exam. You took on the hard challenge, and the quality here shows. happy holidays and fast healing to Chris

My husband had a bad case of salmonella recently. I don’t know how I didn’t get it, because we ate at the same restaurants. Drink lots of fluids, and I hope you feel better soon!

Hey Ryan, how does it feel to know that you banned me and I was the only legit person in the contest? I wrote to the Ceo of HP. I can’t believe you banned me to protect yourself, that was cheap man. You changed my daily routine of coming on Geeks because of it and your poor management of the contest.

This was a great contest. I’ve followed it with interest. It will be exciting to see who the eventual winner is. I know that some of the members of my family all posted comments, using the same computer. EGADS!
Hope you get over the food poisoning quickly. I know what a horrible experience that is!

I can safely say, my article got a very high amount of honest comments & that too all positive feedbacks but i think, it would have been good to not judge the winner by the maximum number of comments.I think, the winner should be someone who got maximum number of positive feedbacks or whose articles has been liked most.It should be based on quality, rather than quantity.
