World's Geekiest Fan
We've been experiencing a slight heat wave here in San Francisco. I begged and pleaded for Gretchen to buy us a fan, and she finally caved this afternoon and brought home the revolutionary Lasko Wind Tower. This thing has a remote control! As she set it up, I unpacked my iSight. That's right, I've got eyesight. And if you'd like to take your iChat AV beta for a spin and witness the tremendous picture quality of this FireWire Webcam, I'm lockergnome (at) [rhymes with ack] dot-com – and I'll be online pretty much all night.

Ah, what Trudy would give for a nice fan like that. Hot enough here in the jungle, I imagine SF it's sort of a once-a-millenium novelty, “it's hot!!! let's get a fan!!”

A/C, Chris, A/C!
Speaking of webcams, I have money in the current budget for one of reasonable quality. I really have to get my act together in this regard.
Thanks for reminding me, Chris.

I just bought that fan today too! Fell in love with it when I went over my sister's house a couple weeks ago. The fan works great especially when you don't have that much space in your room.

Cool looking fan, the remote just make it a “gotta have” but all I'm thinking is if I put the fan in the same room as my comp now I hve to turn the volume on the TV that much louder again.

It's been freezing in Wellington, New Zealand over the past few nights. How about we swap some jars of fresh air over ebay or something? Might even things out.

Hey, I have something similar to that! Only it stands shorter and its black. If you guys need an electric fan badly and you're on the cheap, Sears is selling a stand fan for $10 bucks this weekend!

Veronica, *I* was the one out getting the fan (and did I mention I carried it up a very steep hill?)! :) It was either this totally geeky one, or the crappy little 6-inch clip-on fans–everyone and their dog in SF cleaned the stores out of fans this week…

Mikey, Office Depot sells it, at least according to their website.
