Wits and Wagers Trivia Game for the Xbox 360

My neighbor just happens to be Jeff, who is the CEO of Hidden Path Entertainment game company in Seattle. They just recently launched a new game into the Xbox Live community called Wits and Wagers. This is a trivia-based game, based on a board game that was created around 2001.

Wits & Wagers is the fun trivia party game where you don’t need the right answers to win! For each question, bet on the answer you think is closest to the truth, whether or not that answer is your own.

With up to 25 hours of unique questions, local and online play, plus the ability to link one group of local users to another group via “couch-to-couch” multi player, Wits & Wagers is a party waiting to happen.

Get 700 questions, great character costumes and dance moves, catchy music, achievements, leader boards, support for the Xbox LIVE Vision camera, the Xbox Big Button Pad, and more.

Features of Wits and Wagers include:

  • Engaging social play: Wits & Wagers is easy to play and yet strategically deep for advanced players. Some win with their knowledge of trivia, others with what they know about their friends.
  • Fun questions: The first question pack of 700 questions is included, providing hours of game play. Games consist of seven questions for a quick and casual round of fun.
  • Connecting couches: The game supports one to four players at one console, or two to six players online. Invite your friends over to your house, or invite your friends online.
  • Peripheral support: Wits & Wagers supports both the Xbox LIVE Vision Camera and the Big Button Pad controller.

Hmmm sounds pretty boring to me… just personal opinion, I won’t buy that game.

My GT Is Mushy2008

I tought Apple´s CEO and Chris we not close friends…..

your neighbor is awesome!

thanks chris. I read about this game. Chris can you show us how to connect the xbox 360’s cam to the pc. please!

You just plug it in… It’s USB…

I’m SuseWinBuntu!!

i lov tower defense games!

I love trivia games. I don’t have the skills to play first person shooters. I also love playing puzzle games. This game sounds really cool. If I had a Xbox 360, I would give this game a try.

“Wit and Wagers” and “The Price is Right” FTW

That is a great idea for a game. A game that you don’t have to answer exactly right. Kind of like the Prices Right. Has any one tried you don’t know JACK it’s a fun trivia game. Where you dam near have to decode the questions but its easy enough to do. However, this trivia game looks very fun. Too bad, I do not have an X box. Wick they be releasing it for pc.

It sounds like a wonderful game for family time… but it brings up a concern I’ve had on my mind for some time… is it really wise of us a s consumers to support these big name game consoles whose makers have decided it is a wonderful business practice to engage in forced monopoly by insisting that certain games -only- be made for certain platforms? In my experience, which I will admit is limited… Microsoft is one of the worst for this rather despicable practice… but I imagine that all the new generation console companies engage in it to some degree or other, and I think it is long past time for us as consumers to make it clear to all of them that we will no longer tolerate this form of passive aggressive discrimination.

im missing me out cuz i dont have 360 nore ps3 i hope to have one of them soon so i can play some of these cool games u show us good video chris

Thanks for the quick preview for us Chris! There needs to be more games released like this on live. Game like these will bring a bigger audience to the xbox 360!

This looks like a fun game. Once I get a 360 I will look into getting it. Good job at designing the game and hope it sells good :)

This games looks like something I might like. I kind of wish there was a little more to it. It could use something to spice it up a bit. Maybe some dice throw or a wheel to spend.

thats a nice game
i just might buy it

I downloaded the trial on my 360 the night it came out…. at this point, I haven’t bough it yet, due to the fact that I am broke, and waiting on some clients to bring in some money, but it is really fun. It takes a minute to figure out exactly what you are doing, and also a minute to figure out the controls, but once you do that… its great. It’s really fun to play against other people.

Looked like a fun game to bad I don’t own a 360. I’m not really a gamer have a PS 2 which doesn’t get switched on hardly…

Seems pretty cool, wonder how big of a hit it will be on the thing
But since it seems like its just Xbox 360 and all i have is a ps3 :(
o well seems cool anyways

haha, this seems like a pretty fun game. I think i’m gonna go get it right now. I have a few xbox points left to spend on my live so thanks chris. I also would like to know if the original board game is named wits and wagers. If it isn’t could you tell me what the name is. The board game I would presume is just as fun.

I think this is a great idea for a game and I love how he brought it out for the 360 live market placee, but I would like to have this game on my wii with wiiware along with the PS3 owners with PSN this seems like a great game but it needs to go cross platform.

My 360 dies daily…I have to rig it and jack with it to get it up and running each and every time…oh well.

I’ll have to check this one out. I love trivia games!

Cool game, i think everyone in the chat and that are watching the stream has played trivia based games wherever it was online or boardbased games, when i was i didn’t have a computer so i played a lot of boardgames like Pictionary, scrabble, we had some arguments about how a word is spelled or if the word even existed some where immature and couldn’t handle a loss but overall we had good times, finally i can relive the good old memory’s, when you grow up into an adult then things might not be as fun as it once was and you don’t have the time to play the games until you get kids.Life was much more fun when you where a kid, you didn’t care so much just have fun.

It’s nice that you are getting involved with some of your geek neighbors. Cause it seems you stay in the house all the time. I wish I had neighbors like that. Cause when I talk tech, none else around me knows what I am talking about, and it gets pretty frustrating. It sounds like a fun trivia game. I sort of like trivia games. Too bad I don’t have a XBOX 360. And sorry but I am not going to go out and buy a 360, just to play a trivia game. Thanks anyway.

Looks like a very fun game, for only 800 points. Didn’t know you had such awesome neighbors! I can’t wait until he launches Defense Grid, hopefully it is fun as well.

you got the same tv as me

Sounds like it would be good for a party style enviornment, but other than that i think trivia games get boring real fast even if you are playing online, The physical presence of playing with people is still far better than over the net. I wouldnt be able to get it anyway, as I have a PS3 and are never going to get a 360. But i guess thats what happens to people when games come out on ps3 and not on 360 too. Oh well…. Hope you have fun with this at parties Chris :D

hmmmm… interesting but i don’t have xbox 360… hope i’ll have one… but for now, it’s just a dream of having those latest stuffs… goodluck to you chris…

Seems like a nice game to play with the family… we play entirely too much Yahtzee, my granny loves it. I have always enjoyed trivia and the like, I might have to check out this title.

That Looks like a great game to play with friends. And it Certainly has a lot of questions so you’ll never be getting the same question over and over that was a great thing. I don’t own a Xbox 360 so i wouldnt be able to play this. But I also am not the type of person who like Question games of this type but Im sure people who do like these types of games would be interested in it. And its not expensive at all so thats great.

This game would be great when your just hanging out with some friends or families. I wouldn’t mind buying this game when i replace my xbox 360.

HUGE Plus for 360! I love this game, even if I’m just seeing it on a video! You can dance throughout the whole game! Frigin Sweet!

OMFG i want the tower defence game when it comes out and i hope theres like tons of games of td’s for it that would be sicks.

um its not that good of a game

wait i love this game,…..maybe your just not smart enough

I have never been a fan of trivia games. I am more of an action/adventure gamer.

“The first question pack of 700 questions is included…”

Do I predict that they will have downloadable question packs available in the near future? That is actually pretty cool. A game with downloadable online content actually entices me to buy one game over another.

You can actualy get XBL for free.. check out this vid for more info: /watch?v=P31lxajT23A

Scene it? XD I always feel like an idiot when I play.

Darn, it’s 360 only, wish I could have for my Wii!

(Nintendo, quiz shows, get on it)

Eh, I’ve never been a fan of trivia. Not gonna pick this one up, sorry.

I love trivia games, but my wife is terrible at them…so we don’t play a lot of them. I also kick her butt at Jeopardy, so she usually goes to another room when Alex arrives.

this game sounds pretty good i might have to check it out.

i dont have an xbox. but it would be interesting game to play. non-linear game.. interesting.

Personally, I think that trivia games are the best games on the market. When I was a kid, I played mario’s time machine on super nintendo and it was always great to be able to say that I finished the entire trivia section before I surfed through time and returned the item to whomever it belonged to. That tricky Bowser! I had to play it at least 3 times through before I could catch him before he escaped to his island paradise.

Looks like a god game, have it got a demo? But however the best party games are on the wii

I think its amazing that now even games are beginning to become digitized. It began with MP3’s, and now we’re onto Games! I think it’s great that people are being given the choice to instantly have a game, when ever the feeling takes them. I am a very impulsive person, and make decisions on the spot about what I want to do. I certainly do like this ideas. Plus this games sounds especially fun relaxing with a few friends, just having a easy night in.

I think this game would be extra fun for family late night fun or even parties. This is pretty cool thing and i’m sure it will make you smarter also and what’s good thing about it is that xbox 360 is portable and you can carry it around with you pretty easily

Amazingly, Microsoft marketed the heck out of this game through its xbox live service to get families into the mix. Gather a nice casual market. I’m not sure how well it faired on Live Arcade, but I certainly was interested. Trivia games have always been my little ace in the pocket because I was smarter than everyone else in my family hehehe.

I’m going to check out this game. Seems like a fun game for a party… not that I have a lot of those. Btw, it’s very cool that he came by and showed it off!

Any new game means new way to entertainment.I love trying what’s new.Hopefully I’ll get the chance at least to test this new game. Thanks for information

To think my neighbors are 2 older couples, who don’t have too much of anything exciting to talk about. Cool game, too bad i don
t have a 360 to check it out

Any possibility of a WiiWare version?

Personally, I never have gotten into the whole gaming scene. I’m absolutely terrible at COD4, but this game seems to be on a different level. I’m usually decent at trivia, so who know, I might just p0wn at this game!

What Do You Think?
