I have one - it rocks. saving 15 minutes a day and making the family happy. I would pay 2 the price!

Most professional cameras (3 of mine) use compact flash.

Very cool, hope they come out with a CF version.

Then again there are SD to CF adapters....

Um same story as always, but the linux hackers always get everything to work :)

hopefully other manufacturers will join the competition and officially support linux. I'll purchase from a manufacturer that does.

anyway this technology needs some tweaking. Chris who is a geek, didn't get it to work in the first try.

this is for geeks ATM, i don't see mom or pop setting a home wifi network on their own (i know i set one up). Also, this thing is not cheap compared to normal sd mems

If only it worked on Linux, then it'd immediately be on my shopping list.
Till then, I'm gonna use the cable for transfer.

I just dont know about wi-fi sd cards. I mean, how secure can they be. I mean, can anyone on that wireless access point gain access to the pic?

I can just imagine someone getting frisky and taking pics of them and their lover in the buff and the picture getting snagged. Maybe I'm just insecure about being unsecure and stuff.

I would never use such a device because I like editing my photos.

Photoshop enthusiasts would never adopt such a technology.

Same with videos - Final Cut users would agree that it's just a hyped gimmick.
