The new wifi SD card for your digital camera is an awesome little gadget. You can upload your pictures immediately from your camera to any number of sites you have an account at. Photos shouldn’t be trapped in your camera. Set them free.

The Eye-Fi Card is a wireless memory card. It automatically uploads pictures from your digital camera to your PC or Mac and to your favorite photo sharing, printing, blogging or social networking site. No cables, no waiting, no hassles. The Eye-Fi Card comes with everything needed to make it simple to set up and connect to your home Wi-Fi network. After that, pop the card into your digital camera and start capturing those memories. It stores pictures like a regular SD card no matter where you are, and uploads your photos automatically as soon as you return to your home network. All you have to do is turn the camera on. It supports sharing and printing websites, including KODAK Gallery, Shutterfly, Wal-Mart, Snapfish, Photobucket, Facebook, Webshots, Picasa Web Albums, SmugMug, Flickr, Fotki, TypePad, VOX, dotPhoto, Phanfare, Sharpcast and Gallery.

This is very cool, and very easy. The only thing I’d like to know as far as a “wish list” for this, is if it will ever be able to shoot video directly over to the web. Now *that* would be awesome.

WOOOOOOW Cool!! thanks

kool but expencive and not necercery really just save bout 15 min of ur time :/

when support Linux & BSD with EyeFi then i would get one

I would never use such a device because I like editing my photos.

Photoshop enthusiasts would never adopt such a technology.

Same with videos – Final Cut users would agree that it’s just a hyped gimmick.

OMG CHRIS HAAAANSEN!!!?!?!??!?!!!

If I wanted to buy one of those for a cheap price where would I buy one.

How secure is that card? I am woundering if people can sniff those things out? Interesting where tech is going.. Becareful.

It as well would be nice for hacked PSPs. Hehehehe

I just dont know about wi-fi sd cards. I mean, how secure can they be. I mean, can anyone on that wireless access point gain access to the pic?

I can just imagine someone getting frisky and taking pics of them and their lover in the buff and the picture getting snagged. Maybe I’m just insecure about being unsecure and stuff.

If only it worked on Linux, then it’d immediately be on my shopping list.
Till then, I’m gonna use the cable for transfer.

OMG DUNCAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Genius! Pure Genius! Hope they release this in the UK

Um same story as always, but the linux hackers always get everything to work :)

hopefully other manufacturers will join the competition and officially support linux. I’ll purchase from a manufacturer that does.

anyway this technology needs some tweaking. Chris who is a geek, didn’t get it to work in the first try.

this is for geeks ATM, i don’t see mom or pop setting a home wifi network on their own (i know i set one up). Also, this thing is not cheap compared to normal sd mems

Most professional cameras (3 of mine) use compact flash.

Very cool, hope they come out with a CF version.

Then again there are SD to CF adapters….

psp takes duo not sd re re no offence

will that work with videos

I have one – it rocks. saving 15 minutes a day and making the family happy. I would pay 2 the price!
