Vista is great if all you want to do is type in notepad, do a google search, and play spider solitaire. Anyone who actually uses their computer for anything important doesn’t like vista. Fuck, it uses a gig of ram just sitting there! People buy these awesome quad-core computers with 8GB of ram to run applications, not just an OS!!!

Vista sucks balls. I was really pissed off with the first service pack. It was nothing but a piece of software to prevent piracy and a collection of the updates you could get from windows update without installing the service pack anyway. I’ll never upgrade to vista. I’m a computer repair tech and the most frequent thing I do is wipe Vista off of new computers that my clients buy and put on XP.

I’d disagree. Vista works, and yeah it has its flaws. But they’ll be ironed out in time!

I want to like Vista but not for what it currently costs and doesn’t deliver, and not right now. Vista might make more sense in a year or two when majority of its problems are fixed (if they are fixed). Sure, XP had problems at launch too and there were many advocates of sticking with 98 but it did not have NEARLY as many problems and many articles actually complimented XP on numerous improvements, including speed and stability, unlike with Vista right now.

Moreover, I don’t care what an “average” consumer wants or what Microsoft’s mainstream market evaluation is. I will state that XP is currently BETTER and FASTER than Vista because I’ve tried both and because I’m thoughtful. I don’t want to change everyone’s mind but I will share my knowledge, which someone else will pick up and share with others.

Also, in your other video you talk about OS X’s SpotLight feature being the best thing since sliced bread. Amazing! Hope it’s better than being able to run majority of games. Even many ppl who buy Vista preinstalled PCs often remove it and install XP from their older CDs, when they find out how buggy Vista is.

Chris seems to talk down to people like they were children, even when he tries to take opposite sides for the sake of an argument. He reminds me of clueless Bill O’Reilly when he talks about Iraq. Chris, $500 price tag for Ultimate is part of the deal, and no, MS did not deliver what they promised. They advertise Vista as a better OS than XP, which it is not because it’s slower, buggier and less compatible with hardware and games. Don’t turn into a Microsoft’s or even Apple’s marketing shill.

I have been using XP Pro since it came out. I got to know the features quite well. I bought two systems with Vista basic on both of them, a laptop, and a desktop. I have to say I am very happy with Vista.

implying that vista has nothing wrong makes you look stupid and the least to say biashed.Microsoft could have done a lot better and i expect the SPs for vista to be something more than just security updates.Anyway,i completelly respect your opinion but in the same time i completelly disagree ^^

actually i got no money issues [my parents pretty much solved this for me],i’ve alread owned vista and i can assure you i know my way around pcs.Vista don’t exactly suck but they surely have some very serious probs,some of which are not exactly “their” problem.I kept vista on my secondary machine,downgraded to XP to my primary desktop and bought a MAC.Couldn’t be happier with leopard.
