It's a thumbs up with some reservations. I installed Turbotax 2008 but could not get it to run or uninstall properly. I use AVG anti virus software ver. 8.8 and all was OK until I upgraded to 9.0 and then Outlook could not work with the plug in for AVG or it was defective. Uninstall of AVG 9.0 was a problem but I reinstalled 8.8 and all is running OK. These are first instances of problems I have noted but I am sure that the kinks will be worked out.

Thumbs Up!!! I've been using Windows 7 since RC. I have it installed on all of my PCs. I upgraded 2 PCs with Windows Vista and 1 upgraded my netbook from Windows XP to Windows 7.

Windows 7 is definitely a hit. I liked Vista over XP. I guess I am one of the few who did. I believe hardware had something to do with that (mine is always top notch). On a quad core with 8 gigs of ram Win 7 is a little faster than Vista. I like some of the usability changes like the task bar (pinning) items and the switch between windows features for dual monitors. I develop software for a living and will say Vista and 7 are hands down better than Windows XP.

Thumbs up. However there are some things i am not happy about. window color "Graphite" has been removed. Instead there is only "Slate" which is not the same. Also you can't pin the Recycle Bin to the taskbar. Instead of taking it's own space, it gets pinned with windows explorer, which sucks. I like to have a clean desktop and access to my recycle bin.

I do not know too much about WIndows 7. Only that there is a big portion of the population that will have their hobby ruined by it. Seniors, House bound people, and lots more that make Outlook Express Stationery, and Wndows Mail Stationery will no longer be able to presue their hobby.

Windows 7 is definitely a thumbs up! Not only is this huge for Microsoft, but now for those that used the horror that was Windows Vista - we can put those days behind us! Kudos Microsoft, you did it right this time!

Overall, Windows 7 is a thumbs up. I am typing this comment on it right now. My laptop is a 1.83 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo with 2GB RAM, and 256 MB ATI Mobility Radeon x1600. It runs as if it were XP with 512 MB on a laptop with 64MB RAM on integrated graphics.

I like Windows 7, I am not as dissapointed with it as I was with Windows Vista.

Definitely a thumbs up! My college rolled it out last week through MSDNAA and I've been using it ever since! Nothing but good things to say about it.
