Reminds me of the excitement when IBM sent me OS/2 2 on 20 or so floppies.

I remember Windows 3.1 coming out and being really excited about it. Even better was when Windows 95 Preview came out. I showed a friend my old 386-25 running a ton of copies of MS Office apps. My friend held out for a couple more weeks before asking to borrow the disk to blow away OS/2 Warp. (Which he did get on a CD, but there were no drivers for his CD-ROM Drive. He had to send away for those 20-30 floppies just to install.)
Things have changed quite a bit since then, but Windows 3.1 was a pretty big deal for its day.
