Haha by twitter killer I thought you meant someone that stalks people on twitter till they give a location from them self and then that someone goes and kills them but obvious no haha.

Why is the picture so washing out?
It was like this in one of the other videos as well.

Ah, you never know, some sites are just fads for a while. Friendster was a big thing, MySpace was a big thing. We’ll have to see I guess. Maybe something running the script Identi.ca does, it’s an open script, there can be smaller more community based sites, like the one Leo has.

Twitter is a great service which is getting more and more popular. It has a great thing going for it and its hard to imagine a service taking its place. Right now the only thing Twitter can do, to make sure its not killed off, like Best Buy did to Circuit City, is to improve. One way in which it can improve is by adding the ability for users to create niche-centric Twitter groups. People part of small twitter groups, who share common interests will benefit more from twitter. Introducing groups in twitter will make it easy for people to easily sort through the noise and find people who share common interest.

Some of these twitter-want-to-bes try to imitate Twitter and even going to the extent of trying to surpass it, but you can’t top the original. It’s like have you ever watched a sequel to a movie and it was way better than the original? I haven’t.

Well, once Twitter enables group support, as they have already done in Japan, Twingr will lose any advantage that it has. Soon enough, Twitter will most likely have a secured platform that will compete with Yammer and other Twitter clones out there too .

I don’t believe Twitter’s competitors lack skill. I think timing is the major factor. Those first in line have an advantage in that they are the first to build up their community. Pownce, for example, is a fantastic service.
