The Wii is finally unboxed, set up and turned on. I press the “A” button to sync the Wiimote with the console. Time to choose the language, and set the date. Let’s walk through the rest of the setup now. Of course, I had to name the machine the GnomeWii. My Mii had to be called “MiniWii.
I think I had a bit too much fun setting up my Mii. I went with spiky hair, bushy eyebrows, an Italian nose, and gorgeous eyes. I even made myself smile, and added my glasses. There are a ton of options to choose from when setting up your Mii.
Setup is really easy. I have to give Nintendo credit for making it exceedingly simple to connect everything, and get started.

Good to see you’re enjoying the Wii thus far, Chris. My brother has one and he absolutely loves it.
It’s a pain in the ass that the Wii Web Browser is no longer free, but it’s very much worth spending some Wii points on for casual browsing (checking e-mails/twitter/news etc.). If only they were to add tabs to the browser, then it’d be even better.
I also recommending downloading the Super Mario Bros 3 VC, me and my brother have never had so much fun playing a retro game… with the possible exception of Space Invaders.

Chris, I agree with you on the ease of setup. I got mine on release day and my wife and I were up until 2:30AM playing Wii Sports! Finding something that the two of us both enjoy playing has been great. I thoroughly enjoy playing it; my favorites being Metroid Prime – Corruption, Super Paper Mario, and Super Mario Galaxy.

Great Setup! I heard that you can only go up to Component not HDMI, but I heard there is not much of a difference. And also, on a fourm A guy said that it’s better to have the Sensor Bar on top of the TV rather than the bottom.

Glad you finally joined us Wii geeks! I love my Wii. I believe you were asking about the best games out there. I’d imagine you’d like Super Mario Galaxy as you stated.
I also recommend you check out the Virtual Console. Loads of games on there and since they have the Suspend Play feature in all the VC games it makes it awesome for casual gamers.

Actually since the Wii’s Internet Channel comes with Flash 7 instead of Flash 9 or even Flash 8 it wont work with your live stream since UStream requires Flash 8 or 9 to play, but we can still watch your video on YouTube on the Wii.

Lol. First of all, you don’t HAVE to buy internet, you can have it wireless you fuckhead, if you want cable, then you gotta buy.
And plus, you shouldn’t really be saying Ps3 has better gameplay because it fucking doesn’t.
All it got is fps games and they all suck balls, the only good thing about ps3 is the graphics.
