Why Does Apple Restrict the iPhone’s Abilities?
I have a problem: I get NFR copies for many iPhone apps.
This, itself, isn’t an issue – but the iPhone can only display up to 144 apps at one time. This limitation is artificial, as I have an insane amount of free space on the device. I currently have 250 apps in my iTunes library (out of tens of thousands available storewide). Many of these great apps can no longer be synced because of this imposed limitation. Consequently, I’m not carefree with what I choose to install on the iPhone anymore.
The solution: Apple needs to enable some kind of Spotlight search for installed apps on the iPhone, showing (a) the most recently used and (b) the most used apps – on two separate sheets.
I know that some people are content with having ~10 apps on their iPhone, but that (to me) seems like such a waste of resources and potential. I’m addicted to iPhone apps, I admit it – especially the free ones. Why is Apple not letting me access the full potential of this platform?
So, I admit that I’m an extreme case. How many apps do you have on your iPhone? I asked my Twitter followers:
Stop wasting your time trying to fix computer issues over the phone or the Internet. Use GoToAssist to connect to the other person's machine remotely. GoToAssist's computer-to-computer connection is the fastest way available to help you get things done when there just aren't enough hours in the day.

Apple should not do this! Just like we have power users on computers, there should be some on phones. Now, running out of space, that’s a different story, but Apple just not permitting anymore is truly a rip off.

I have the same problem! Sometimes I just download apps for a few minutes, just for fun. The prob is, Im slowly collecting a larger and larger amount. I have plenty of space on my iPod Touch, but i’m limited to 144.

Yeah. does the amount of apps depend on the amount of gigabytes on your iphone? I do feel that for some people it may be a little too small of an amount :p

I have a bunch of apps on iTunes I wish they would make app organizing much easier like with music and videos cause I got so many apps right now it’s starting to get crowded and messy, same thing goes for the app store (I know they kinda fixed it but still very messy), and so now I got so many apps, I gotta be careful with what I install on the app store, maybe there should be like a subfolder organizer or something in the iphone kinda like have frequently used apps on the home screen (as many as you want) and a folder app where you can put like all the games, or all the toy apps, or music apps, etc. I don’t know but yeah Apple need to solve that before the app store grows larger and gets out of control

Wow, that sucks… even if memory permits? I thought we would be restricted by space. I have been loading up on apps, just because there’s so many cool ones and extremely useful.
