Please stop buying and installing desktop software if there’s a better alternative that exists on the Web. Sure, you may have a photo editing software package. But I guarantee that it doesn’t have the amount of templates and effects as what you can find over at Big Huge Labs.
There are so many different things you can do on Big Huge Labs. These are just the tip of the proverbial iceburg:
- Make a map of where you’ve been or where you’re going.
- Create and print a pocket-sized photo album.
- Create customized jigsaw puzzles from your photographs.
- Make your own ID card, press pass, name tag, unofficial Flickr badge, or any other kind of identification.
- Make your own inspirational, funny, parody, sports or other motivational poster for any occasion.
- Make your own magazine cover! Be a superstar! Prove to your friends how famous you really are!
- Make your own customized movie poster. You choose the photo, titles, and credits. Be a star!
- Make a mosaic from a photoset, favorites, tags, or individual digital photographs or images. It’s a whole world of creative photo possibilities.
- Become a pop icon! Inspired by Warhol’s famous paintings of Marilyn Monroe.
- Automagically generate a harmonious color palette based on the colors in a photo. Perfect for design work.
So uninstall that software, and check out Big Huge Labs. It’s a big huge piece of WIN.

i think that some photos are sort of boring and photos are sometimes crazy. i take pictures and i am not a phototography geek only a electronics geek. the photos that people put effort into are really astounding. only people who just post them right away. photos are being astounding to some people. i love photos and is looking for camaras

The simple answer to the title question is that they are so easy to take, they are everywhere. It’s so simple, that why wouldn’t you take photos for fun? Even worse, we are fascinated by our bad pictures and upload them to contribute to the mass of worthless data.

I think that programs like Photoshop will always stay in the running, but I would love to see new programs that are web-based. Its the future

Web apps seem to be getting more and more advanced. This is an awesome find! I’ll probably use it for quick stuff that I don’t want to use Photoshop or GIMP for. I like web apps; they’re cool, but I still prefer desktop software.
