Who Wants a Panasonic HDC-SD100 Camera?
Despite being a little under the weather, we’re heading to Austin, TX tonight on a red-eye for SxSW (where I hear it’s just as cold as it is here in Seattle).
Gnomedex.com is co-hosting a party with BlogHer.org, Seesmic.com, and Ping.fm – and you’re most certainly invited, even if you can’t be there in person. Why bother registering for a virtual party? Because one of you is going to win a Panasonic HDC-SD100 – but only if you register for the Human Circuitry party as a “I can’t physically come to the party but I WILL watch the live stream, count me in!” registrant. Yeah, that’s probably the WORST ticket title in the history of parties, but it’s appropriately labeled!
- We will give the Panasonic HDC-SD100 to one of our virtual registrants, so you MUST be signed up to qualify. Join us from the comfort of your own home!
- The drawing will be done with a random number generator from the party floor at 10:00pm CST. The camera will be mailed to the lucky person soon thereafter.
- There are 10,000 virtual tickets to be picked up, and we’ll be streaming live from our regular channels (you know where they are). Sign up and then spread the word.
We were trying to find a way to include all those who would love to be at SXSW but just can’t afford to either take the time away from work (or the cost of the trip / conference / hotel / airfare). We are all so very fortunate to be there, and it would be awesome to give someone a tool that could give them the opportunity to create awesome content and get there next year by their own talents!
See you on Sunday night!

If you get a chance at SxSW, see the film The Best Worst Movie. It was photographed and edited by my friend and popular YouTuber (and Twitterer) K80Blog (Katie Graham).

Well, I’ll be sleeping at 10PM CST, since I follow the Eastern Time Zone (GMT-5) and I primarily sleep at 9:30PM. However, I registered for a ticket and will be leaving the live stream on for as long as I can. I’ll even record it for whatever it takes (Heck, I have 160GB (Laptop HDD) + 160GB (External HDD) to use to store this.) Plus, I’m confident that I can probably win while I sleep (for some reason). This is because we had to put that postal address for SOME reason over at the eventbrite registration page.
Good luck to all who are entering and (to those who are AT SXSW,) have fun!

I’m jealous. SXSW sounds like a great festival! Thanks for giving those of us who can’t attend the chance to win a great camera, though! That’s awesome, and I am most definitely signed up!

This is going to be very exciting. I’ve been looking for a camera similar to this, but winning it would be a huge bonus.

Is there something I need to do to be properly signed in for the live chat? Because in the beginning, I could communicate, but after the feed went down for a few moments, whenever I signed back in, no one seemed to be able to “hear” me.

Is the winner posted anywhere on the site? I waited until 11pm, then had to fold laundry and make the bed, then came back on for a while, and I didn’t see where a winner had been selected. After the feed blacked for a minute and I had to refresh, I’m not sure I was ever signed back in properly, because no one responded to anything I said. So, that was really frustrating, and I’d at least like to find out who won!

I watched most of the part, then my Internet connection was lost.
(Time Warner cut my service without telling me. I’ve since got it back.)
Who won the camera?
