My VERY LARGE company does… So now I cannot view my .mac (now Mobile Me) account (WHICH I PAID FOR) while at work. I Will not be renewing this service.

I haven’t used IE since Firefox was a baby Phoenix. My alternate browsers are Opera and Safari. If a site doesn’t work with one of those three, then that’s a site I don’t need to visit.

I would have to say Safari is my favorite browser but I do run in to problems with it and have to bounce back to Firefox one example is I can not log in to monster.com with safari it tells me over and over my password is wrong but it works just fine in FF… odd

I used IE for a majority of my life. I always thought it was the “coolest browser in the world…” I switched over to Firefox over 3 years ago–It brought me new life. Since then, I question why I thought IE was so cool… It’s so buggy and slow compared to Firefox… Back in April, I started using Safari for Windows (in prep. for my Mac). Then in June, I got my MacBook.

Safari is my main browser, but it’s not fully compatible with the web software at my work, so I keep Firefox 3 handy. You can consider me a Safari+Firefox guy… It just feels so odd whenever I have no choice but to use IE… So boring, so plain, so SLOW!

I use Firefox 3. I used to use I.E. but it was slow, did not block pop-ups and had crappy security. I would like to see Microsoft put Firefox and OpenOffice in Windows 7.

I haven’t been using IE since around 2000, if memory serves me right. Now I use Opera (mostly) and FireFox (ocassionally), and before that — NeoPlanet and something else, but not for long.

I’m a Web Developer. I use Internet Explorer. Never had a problem with it, really (Except that IE7 and IE8 seem to have an ugly, bloated UI; I miss IE6). 85% of my website traffic uses Internet Explorer; 8% Firefox, and a piddly 7% uses everything else; so don’t complain when I refer to your browser as “Third Party”.

I do use FireFox to verify that the site looks right, however. It’s the difference between real standards and the De Facto standards that Microsoft is effectively pushing on us. Generally I make sure it works in IE first, and then check for validation and rendering in FireFox. This guarantees that it works for at least 85% of the viewers.

Seriously, what’s wrong with it? what does it not do that you want? Since IE8 will be standards-compliant, will you still use your third-party browser? If so, why? I’d like to hear a rant on that one.

This is just another form of Microsoft bashing. I’m using FF by the way. I couldn’t agree more with Jim McCusker – you simply cannot condemn at least three quarters of your site visitors just because they are using what you consider to be the wrong browser.

so where did this program come from and why did it get installed on my PC? Did anyone notice that the mobile me website for PC shows the IE icon? Didn’t someone tell the designers of that page what works with their program? ( http://www.apple.com/mobileme/features/pc.html )

I use Firefox every bit I can. And people refuse to switch browsers because things are incompatible with FF, Safari, Opera, etc…? Well it seems that services are incompatible with IE as well, now doesn’t it.

I still use IE. I also use Safari(on Windows Vista) Firefox 3.0 and Opera 9.51 hey what can I say I just like varity.

I see a steadily increasing trend not to support IE. Doesn’t bother me any.
