White and Nerdy

Yes, the music video has officially been placed on YouTube. I’d say that it’s Yankovic’s geekiest one yet (far better than “It’s All About The Pentiums”). Are you white and nerdy? Watch this:

Who’ll be next?

Hey chris try this search engine out and tell me what you think http://rwsm.directtaps.net/ Live side .net blogged about tonight

LOL! That was great; buying the bootleg copy of the Star Wars Holiday Special was a great touch :)

Since I posted on White and Nerdy last week I have gotten thousands of visits - then there was the audio available and now the video was put on YouTube, care of Chris Pirillo. As Chris Pirillo says: Are you white and nerdy? Watch this: [IMG white-nerdy.JPG] Seems like people are associating White and Nerdy with Weird Al very clearly.

White and Nerdy - Great Weird Al Parody…

This is one of the funniest videos I’ve seen in a long time. I linked to someone else that has the video since I’ve got so many on the front page now; hopefully it will make the page load a……

This video is teh ****. And for some reason, this song reminds me of you Chris.

Thanks to Chris P. for turning me onto this video. I’ve been a Weird Al fan for years, and even had the opportunity to chat with him for several hours while he was appearing in-store at Sam Goody. Enjoy. This will become a classic.

I must be… I speak Klingon

Oh, my. Werid Al Yankovic is at it again. Are you too White and Nerdy? I know far too many who qualify. ROTFLOL Via Chris Pirillo. Posted by Warner Crocker on September 20, 2006 at 08:26 PM in Entertainment | Permalink | Comments (1) | TrackBack (0)

[...] If you don’t buy the album, I’m going to rip your heart right out of your rib cage with my bare hands and then throw it on the floor and stomp on it ’til you die - especially if you’re white and nerdy. album, dare to be stupid, music, parody, song, straight outta lynwood, urge, weird al, windows media player, wmp11, yankovic [...]

[...] Thanks SID. I suspected as much. Hence, the reason why I pondered over it. Upon the additional info, I don’t fit the criteria for shock and awe TV. And all the guys I have meet in the hobby wouldn’t fit the criteria either. They are more normal than one would associate with the typical geek sterotype. (i.e look here http://chris.pirillo.com/2006/09/20/white-and-nerdy/ ) For myself, there is a clear divide between the hobby and my regular day to day life. I don’t have anything GI JOE related at the office nor do I pretend to be character like Serpentor and scream “where are my Vipers”. The only time I even talk about GI JOEs is with other guys in the hobby (online or in person). The same applies when I watch sports. I don’t face paint or dress up like a clown to prove I am bigger sports fan. And Shane, well stated._________________Golf Leafs Golf: Losers since 1967 [...]

[...] This Al Yankovic’s video is getting quite popular. [...]

Don’t look for it on the new album. Mine arrived today, and while the music is there, the video is not. :bummed: There are several videos on the “dualdisc”, but White and Nerdy is not one of them. Whats with that?

Yeah, the “Straight Outta Lynwood” CD is *great*! However, the bonus videos leave much to be desired, IMO. Al’s website (www.weirdal.com) mentions that the DualDisc CD contains “6 Brand New Music Videos from world-class animators Bill Plympton, John Kricfalusi, Jim Blashfield, Thomas Lee, David C. Lovelace and Robot Chicken!” Not the kind of videos that Al usually releases.

OTOH, the videos are *bonus* content–so take them for what they’re worth. Hopefully, a DVD with the real videos–or an updated video compilation DVD–will be released soon.

And don’t forget to download the song “You’re Pitiful”–the parody of James Blunt’s song “You’re Beautiful” that ended up getting pulled from the “Straight Outta Lynwood” CD. Details and download links on Al’s site, listed above.
