Get a PS3 and be done with it. There’s no obligation to play games and I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised with what it can do.

I haven’t yet tried to get anything Blu-ray.
Heck I was rather slow in getting to the DVD world. Then, when I did, I gave all my VHS tapes to my ex-wife.
Getting into the Blu-ray world still seems too expensive.
I think I could get an internal Blu-ray drive for my PC for over $100.

Blu-ray is overrated. I don’t think I would enjoy a movie any more or any less with or without it.
In fact, when I first learned of Blu-ray and what it was all about, I thought of the movie, The Wedding Singer—where the guy buys a DVD player for something like 700 bucks.
It’s nice of you though that you posted these links for anyone who enjoys the Blu-ray experience. I’ve seen the prices both online and at the stores—-YIKES!!

I just purchased blue ray disks for $12,99 each, at Office Depot. Rewritable blue ray disks are $17,99
