Chances are that they may all be from the same agency (or should be because when you get one, the price on others drop — sort of a volume discount).

I’d check with the agents that cover your house-car-auto etc and see if you can get it from them–maybe even getting a discount on your other policies.

I’d also google term v. equity life insurance (i.e. many people recommend term and you invest the difference in price, rather than a low yield equity (or whatever they call it) type policy).

Also consider it as a either-or: if you pass away, it goes to Ponzi, if she passes away, it goes to you. Don’t get two separate policies, but one policy that covers both of you either direction.
