I've never had better and I've brewed and tasted plenty in my 5 decades. More hops & malt (of the type I prefer :)) than a case of most brews, and a respectable 11.5 abv. Yet very well balanced and incredibly delicious. The label quotes the brewery's deceased owner, Hunter S. Thompson: "Good people drink good beer." Schneider & Sohn Hefeweizen , or for a dark beer, Old Peculiar. American breweries are improving, especially the boutiques. Shiner Brewery (brewed right here in Texas) puts out some very good German style beers. I do kind of miss living in Amberg (Bavaria), though - 10 breweries in a town of about 80,000, all of them good. My favorite beers are G.
