Others have and will say; it's the nature of "news" to report the bad and ignore the good, there are many other "real" dangers you pay little attention to yet face every day, considering the vast number of firearms out there the number of incidents involving them is inexplicably low, etc. If this keeps up I might have to move your blog from my "Tech Blogs" favorites folder to "Political blogs." ;) You seem to be a little preoccupied with firearms lately. The last statistics for firearms deaths I was able to find were from 2003 and show that 16,907 deaths were suicides by firearm with 11,920 assaults by firearms in this country and 730 accidental firearms discharches resulting in death. If you look at just the assaults, that works out to be a little over 32 assaults with deaths by firearms/day. Putting that in perspective though, there were 44,757 deaths from motor vehicle accidents, 19, 457 deaths from poisonings and 17,229 deaths from falls.
