I have the bigger camcorder Gorillapod, and just purchased the mini Gorillapod for pocket digital cameras and cell phones. I love the mini pod, it makes it will make it possible for me to use my Motorola Android phone to take videos to upload to youtube, since my video camera is down. I can also include myself in photos and videos of family and friends as, my cell phone has a photo/video recorder program with a timer, to allow me to get into the frame. I could prop my phone up against something and get an OK shot, but with the mini pod, I can truly frame up the shot. Also, as someone stated already, I can attach my camera to a tree branch, or any other convenient item to set the phone or my pocket digital cameras where I need it.

I been realy thinking to get one of these and put it in my camera bag because you know know when it will become a perfect fix for something.

What if you forget your tripod in your car and went for a photo hunt? You don't want to walk back to get it. But you have this tripod in your bag that can wrap around a small tree or something. Its perfect!

Great Post chris!
