Gotta throw out there the PBS show “America’s Test Kitchen”. It’s “Good Eats” without the humor. Also Christopher Kimball is a lot more geekier than Alton Brown. He may act like he has more money, but he’s definitely geekier.

As for shows like “Big Bang Theory”, “Numb3rs” and “Chuck”, if it’s on one of the big networks, then I don’t think it really qualifies. It’s like saying “Smallville” is a great adaptation of the superman comic, which it ain’t.

Accept no cheap wannabe substitutes people!

Of course if techTV hadn’t turned into G4TV, we’d all be watching that. Instead we’re watching our stuff on the internet now. Tekzilla, Crankygeeks and DL.TV come to mind.
