Hey Chris, I am thinking of buying this drive. Its 49$ on newegg after a mail in rebate. Read lots of reviews that the drive has very slow write speeds and is prone to failure. Now that you have had the drive for 6 months, what do you think? I definitely dont want to lose my data to a defective drive.

I have a SanDisk cruzer 2 GB USB Drive and it has the U3 software, which I hate. I got that uninstaller and at last it is gone. Thanks for passing this post along Chris!

I used a lot of different usb Flash drives of any size, from 8 mb to 8 gb, and i noticed that even if sizes are getting bigger and bigger every day performances are still embarrassing.
It would be very interesting to build a usb Flash drives performance database

I have a Gigabank (tm) 6GB by I/O Magic ... Its about the size of a Zippo Lighter and much larger than that 32 GB "stick." This Gigabank has a flip out "metal part" ... Plug?? ... that is fairly trim and turns so it can reach into some of the sockets I find to be out of reach. Mostly, I use this to move photos.

I got several of the 8 GB drives to run on my Asus Eee. Even have a 4 GB I got from one of the warehouse stores for about $20 to keep about 850 MP3's on for playing through my Xbox 360.

Am just waiting for the 64 GB+ drives to come out & be reasonably priced (about $30-50 US). When the main 4 GB drive on the Eee goes...just run one of these.

I clicked on your link for the Corsair 32GB Flash Voyager USB 2.0 Flash Drive and it brought me to Amazon.com which offered the Flash Drive for $94.92.

I'd have jumped on the purchase if I saw any way that I could have obtained a 32GB Drive for anywhere close to what you stated but $94.92 is a bit out of reach for me.

I also clicked on your coupon link and the resulting screen stated that there were no coupons available.

Yo Chris,
I would surely go out and get the Corsair 32GB Flash Voyager USB 2.0 Flash Drive you are talking about for $30, if I could find a coupon.
Do you have any?
Thanks,
Phil

I own a Patriot 8GB Xporter XT 150X USB 2.0 Pen Drive. One of the, if not the fastest USB Stick I've ever owned. Love it. I have about 3 gig of portable apps collected from several online sites (http://www.portablefreeware.com/) using PStart for the menu. I also have all my standard install apps for when setting up a new pc with open source windows software....
