You said that particular kit was $20 and wanted to know if there were cheaper ones out there; well, I found at geeks.com for $6.75. It's a 9-piece kit with a retractible USB cable and a nice little case. You can find it at geeks.com and browsing to Cables > Cable Adapters and Splitters.
