What Were You Doing at 5am?

Who gets up at 5am, anyway? Seriously… I don’t think even the gods are awake yet at that time, and rightfully so! It’s still freaking dark! However, if you want a good seat on a cheap flight to Hawaii – you’re going to get up at that ungodly hour, and you’re going to like it!
Off to Oahu I go!

At 5am I am punching in at the time clock at the hospital to start my job doing phlebotomy for morning collections. All lab work must be collected from in-patients before breakfast trays are distributed to the floors at 7:45 am.
There is a team of 10-12 phlebotomists that work part-time for this busy time of the morning, 5am-8am. I’ve done this since my kids were babies and have been able to call myself a full time stay-at-home mom as well.

Actually, I think that’s the time I wake up when I go to Hawaii too! By the time you get there.. it’s only the afternoon and you still have the rest of the day to enjoy! Have a great time Chris, and I’m looking forward to all your vacation photos! :)
