What the hell?!

The INTERROBANG was created to fill a gap in our punctuation system where writers often used typographically cumbersome and unattractive combinations of the question mark and exclamation mark to punctuate rhetorical statements where neither the question nor an exclamation alone exactly served the writer. You can find an interrobang in Microsoft Word's Fonts. Go to Format, choose Fonts, then Wingdings 2. You'll find 4 different versions of the interrobang. Hit the ~ key, the ] key, the ^ key, or the _ key.”

teacher I have a slight fascination with punctuation marks. I know when to use a semicolon; I can deploy commas with confidence; and I understand the difference between a bracket and a brace. I first heard about this nonstandard punctuation mark viaChris Pirillowhen he mentioned it on a Twitter post. Wikipedia has a fairly detailed article about this curious little mark. Wow thats the most useful character I've heard of yet on the keyboard. Whoa. This is a total mind blow. haha.

that is really sweet. they need to have it more for chat mediums, though, in my opinion. i find myself writing “?!?!?!?” much more often during an IM conversation than i do, say, when i'm typing up something for my boss. *shrug* thanks for sharing!

Cool stuff

Did someone forget to renew Cat's catsclicks.com? The domain expired back on the 7th.

I discovered that too James. The new URL is cat.pirillo.com. If you click my name it should take you there.

Gratz Chris, it's about time someone finally gave an aaward to someone who actually DESERVED it!
