I was think of these:

Webcams and internet telephony
Printers, Fax machines, Typewriters, etc.
Remote Desktop (LogMeIn, etc.)
Removable storage (ffloppy disks, CDs, DVDs, Flash drives, etc.)
Cellphones
Mp3/IPods

The technology that shaped my life is youtube. Everything I learn comes from youtube. It does it better than my school! Without it I have no idea where I would be right now.

The $100 home answering machine that came out in the early 80's and it's subsequent remote feature made my productivity go to the stratosphere.. The phone is a real time waster and tends to be an inconvenience. When call waiting came on I was an early adopter and ex user when some body was hawking their wares interupting the original caller. That was one feature that I can do without. When people tell me they have to take another call ( I can Tell when its call waiting) I just hang up. When they call back, they get the computer generated auto message that I can't ( more like won't) take calls now.

Probably invented and in use for most humans prior to the 90's but ink jet printers transformed my work life.
Instead of being dependant on a shared secretary for all my document needs I was able to create and print my own.

At home, and once again probably pre 90's technology, Blogger was the first platform I used for blogging. It allowed me to learn that people from all cultures and backgrounds share similar life concerns.

And last but not least, anything related to the Windows operating systems I've used.
They broke so often that I learned how to fix computer problems.
And, while that statement sounds really sarcastic, I really appreciate Windows for that..

Everyone was amazed at the first iMac, my mom told me about it because she worked with macs at work. But at home we had a pc. In mid 2007, the first aluminium iMac came out and we officially made the switch. From that point on, I was and still is really into technology. We got it because we needed a new computer, my parents and I had heard so many bad things about vista, and my mom had never had any problems with macs at work, so we made the switch. If we never got the imac, I wouldn't be into technology, and I would probably end up having a different job than what I have now.

4 things come to my mind

linux, if no one mentioned that i would shout with anger as its one of the biggest key points in tech/pc history.

4chan and anonymous, because where would the internet be with communities such as these haha.

The great banning of games! postal, gtv etc... all great games banned around the world.
just recently, l4d2 was banned in australia due to "humans with rabies like virus" its bs... i know... (l4d2 will be released but heavly edited.)

and last but not least....
hacking and exploiting.
the internet made the terms make peoples trust of the internet almost vanish.

hope this helped :P
if you need some moar help just ask
OH!!!
P.S.!!!!!
1337 speak and these faces :3
