What is Web 2.0?

  • No related posts

Let’s see what Mike Arrington from TechCrunch has to say about this movement known as Web 2.0 (not to be confused with the Web 2.0 conference)…

In his time on stage at Gnomedex, Mike speaks to several examples of “Web 2.0″ (where it is, and possibly where it’s headed). There are companies that have come really close to going mainstream (much like YouTube, MySpace, and Digg have done). Some people believe the Web 2.0 leaders are smothering smaller players, however. The audience believes that many companies and developers got lucky – while others state that the companies worked hard, with luck playing a minor role.

What other Web 2.0 insights came from this hour? Watch and learn:

Michael Arrington, aside from performing consulting work on business development and marketing strategies, founded the popular website TechCrunch as well as Edgeio (which provides classified listings for just about everything and provides and easy to use search interface for those classifieds).
