I do not know of any individual restaurants in the Charleston, WV, area with tasting menus, but one weekend each year is the Taste of Charleston at the Civic Center near where I-64, I-77, and I-79 meet. About 30 restaurants set up booths and sell small portions of a few of their specialties. You buy tickets at the door for 50 cents each and the portions are anywhere from 1 to 5 tickets. This year, the Taste of Charleston will be August 25 and 26, from 12 noon to 6 PM (Eastern). Besides the food, live entertainment will be provided up on a stage to one side of the hall. I haven't been able to find a website with this year's list of menu items yet, but here is a link to 2003 to give you an idea of the variety: http://mysite.verizon.net/vze74uh3/wsaztasteofcharleston/id4.html
Bon appetit.
