I have a color laser printer, of which I can create the same affect. All the so-called 3D photos I saw, the lighting and colors were manipulated to enhance the 3D qualities of the photograph.I get a better affect with manipulating the sharpness of the closest objects to the camera and slightly graduating the sharpness of objects moving toward the background. And back-lighting the objects in the foreground.Printing software could do all of the above and manipulated inside the printer. I think so-called 3D printing first and foremost is a marketing invention.I am a photographer, artist, with an MFA+60 and a whole lot of experience editing/manipulating digital photography.

3D printing! To me, this indicates that in 10 years time they'll be as cheap (if not as commonplace) as the 2d printers of today.Something to think about in moving ahead.- Mike

Hi Chris,

I run Fabjectory – <a
