What Does Your Life’s Timeline Look Like?

Back in grade school, I remember having to make timelines. We had to rely on paper, and pencils to sketch things out. Inevitably, we’d mess things up, and then have to scrunch things together. Software has made it easier for us to create timelines. There’s a lot of data that is floating around out on the Web. If it’s collected the right way, these timelines could be created for you automatically. That’s the idea behind AllofMe.

Automatically create a Personal Timeline of your life from any digital assets you have, such as pictures, videos, blogs, documents, or any Internet page.

You can view sample timelines, or even watch a teaser. There are tons of different categories to look through. You know what I did. I entered my name, and was shocked to see how much of my information was pulled it. It began picking up parts of my life from 1999. There is a ton of content, starting in about 2004. Using AllofMe, it will be easier for me to keep track of when certain things happened in my life.

It does image searches, checks through things like YouTube and Twitter, and even looks at Windows Live. If you zoom way in, it’ll show you by day, month or even year what you’ve been up to. You can even filter your timeline to only include certain aspects.

Thanks to the creators, we have 250 Beta codes! The first 250 of you to sign up for AllofMe using this link will enjoy full privileges!

This is not only a lot of fun, it’s also something you can hold onto. You just never know when you might want or need to look back on your life, and the things you’ve done.

Chris-
Very good review. Use of timelines to visualize and record one’s life is becoming very popular. Could possibly be driven by baby boomer demos. We launched LifeSnapz (http://www.lifesnapz.com) to capture, share and explore life events with videos, pictures, descriptions, timelines and maps. Check us out if you can.
