I majored in English and decided to be a teacher until I hit student teaching and changed my mind. You have to admire a good teacher; they can instill more fear and devotion than a general probably could! Then I got married and had jobs in purchasing and administrative assisting for the data department where I got a degree in accounting and became a bookkeeper and girl Friday. Then I became a mother and part time bookkeeper; and for those of you without kids, YES that is a job too. I am only forty and they say a person changes professions seven times over the course of their lives. I guess that means I will be working until I am at least 70-80 and learn three more professions. Sorry to be so long winded but I wanted to present a different perspective. You have to learn something new every day! Every year for 4 or more years straight, I would always bully my parent's into getting me a toy fire engine for christmas. For a brief period 2-3 years ago, I wanted to be a doctor, just to fill the void left by outgrowing the fireman dream, only to realize that I, like you Chris was only interested in such a career due to family expectations or persuation.Now however, I am on the (very) fast track of computers and am loving it.
