What Colors Complement Each Other?

People ask me all the time why I normally wear black tshirts. I’m not so good at the whole color-coordinating thing. Despite normally wearing jeans, I do worry about my appearance. I don’t want to have mismatched clothes, and look awkward!
If you’re like me, and have trouble deciding what colors go with each other, why not check out Color Hunter. You can take a look through their existing gallery to get ideas, or upload a picture of your own. Color Hunter will return a list of colors that will complement the picture!
Alternatively, lets say you have a favorite shirt you love, but is a color that’s hard to match. If you can find the Hex Code that matches the color, enter it on the site. It will again return a list of results that will match perfectly! Of course, you can also take a picture of the item and upload it.
People have used this service for everything from matching the colors of a room’s walls to a particular picture hung on one wall – all the way to coordinating bridal wear! There’s no end to what you can do here, or what ways you can mix up colors.
The next time you need to match colors for anything at all, be sure to check with Color Hunter first!

Thanks for turning me on to Color Hunter.
I would also recommend Color Schemer:

Interesting concept… although I’m wondering a bit since it didn’t return the hex code I used for the major portion of a graphic that I uploaded — it came close, but not the exact hex code used — so it might be restricting them to “web safe” colors. But other than that, if I didn’t know the color (heck, I’m colorblind) then this looks like it’d help a ton.
Thanks for the link.

We used to be very Adobe centric about a lot of things so for most design and color considerations [ I am very color blind btw], we use kuler.adobe.com.
After seeing color hunter, I think this will be another tool I can add to my arsenal. Thanks for the link!

None whatsoever. Colours don’t complement each other.
They can’t talk!
