What Brightens up Your Day?
- No related posts
Someone asked me earlier what I do to perk myself up when I’m having a bad day. What makes me happy? What makes me smile and want to get on with things, even if the rest of the day has been crummy? There are a lot of things that will do this for me. My dogs can always make me laugh. My live community can always bring a smile to my face. Reading something funny online will make me laugh and lift my mood. I’m a pretty easy-going guy, so it usually doesn’t take a lot to brighten up my day. What does it take to brighten up yours? I bet reading some of what others are writing in our community will get your mind working, and maybe even put a smile on your face.

When ever I have a bad day I take a short nap to clear my mind and when I wake up I talk to my girlfriend and she gets me happy. :)

After a bad day, I’d get my bass guitar and practice different exercises. That helps keeping me occupied and happy.
If I’m too tired to practice, I’ll plug in a DVD or BD movie and watch it on my 42 inch HD LCD TV. By doing so, I get to remember to count my blessings.

It’s #1 for me.
My cats are also sweet, but I can’t seem to find them in spring :) They like garden life better than indoors, not so shockingly.

Music brightens my day. For classical, almost anything by Mozart. Neurobiological research has demonstrated that Mozart’s music reaches right inot the pleasure centers of the brain. For vocal, the first album by Take Six, which is literally, making a joyful noise unto the Lord. And, older person that I am, whenever I hear the Beach Boys, my day gets brighter.

Moving out of California would brighten up my day. There is nothing left to be had in this dump. Thinking about going north bound.
