Watch Me Live on Your iPhone
I’m relatively pissed that TechCrunch got an exclusive scoop (and yes, it was exclusive) on the upcoming Ustream application for the iPhone, all things considered. Still, I’m happy to say that pretty soon you’ll be able to watch me – and any other person who uses Ustream – on your iPhone or iPod Touch. The app is very much real.
Why would you want to watch? Think about it this way: it’s much more interactive than traditional television.
And why would you want to stream your own live video feed for the world to see?
Maybe it’s just two people who are interested, but point a camera out your window – or at your dog’s bed – or to anything that you care to share. This also makes for a great pseudo-security camera! Now that the viewer app is coming to the iPhone… you’d be crazy not to dive into the world of live video (if only for your own, private reasons).
Live Internet video streams aren’t going to disappear – and they certainly just got a whole lot more interesting. At least, for people like me (and the people who like to watch the back of my head).
The app is still a bit rough around the edges, but rest assured that Ustream will listen to you if you offer suggestions for improvement. They’ve always listened to their community, and it’s one of the reasons I accepted a position on their advisory board long ago.
And yes, the best is yet to come:
Using GoToAssist is the easiest way to view and control another person's computer online. Use it to provide instant technical support to family, friends and customers. Start a session with just one click, and instantly connect with the other party.

Wow, this would be great. Ustream streaming on the iPhone. can’t wait to watch TWiT and Chris Pirillo on my phone. the future is here. Now i’m just hoping Apple will accept this into the App Store. It’s Applications like this that sells the iPhone, killer apps.

I sent Ustream my UUID this morning, and heard back from them about a half-hour ago, saying that the request was “being processed”. I’ve been looking for an app like this for a while, but never thought it’d be written by Ustream. I’ve always thought an iPhone version of StreamDesk would be really cool, but I have no idea what kind of coding that’d take.

Well, i wish i was an iPhone owner, but my carrier VERIZON doesnt carry iPhones, which is sad. I also don’t know near as much about phones, and computers to be called a geek, but oh well. I really think the iPhone is revolutionary, it carrys so many features i wouldn’t even call it a “phone” more like a handheld wonderous speciman. Especially with this new app i think iPhones will be even more amazing. I agree, uStream is awfully entertaining.
Enough said.

That seems great now! Hopefully full screen will soon to come for the iphone then. Let’s all hope it does! Other than that this makes me feel that live.pirillo.com will get so much more viewers.

I love this idea for an app in the app store! The live stream page does not work on Safari, so I can’t watch the stream on the go, and this is the perfect app to solve that problem.

Really isn’t that good I got it today and it’s very laggy while watching chris it pauses for five seconds then shows another frame plus no 3g compatibility
