Wait State
I'm sitting in the lab right now, waiting for TSS to transpire. Cat and I are going clothes shopping; I'm not sure if George is tagging along or not. He was having issues with his car this morning. Regardless, we plan on hitting a few stores in the area. I have no idea what I want. Gretchen always gives me pointers when I'm at home. She pulls the “you're not really wearing that” routine all the time – and for good reason. I can't color coordinate anything. Which reminds me, I've got an important dinner to attend this upcoming Tuesday, and apparently it's a jacket affair. Uh, I need help. I don't think my jacket fits me anymore, but I better find something to complete the ensemble. Otherwise, I'll have to go in a sweater or something. I was instructed to do the suit thing, though.
Today was a good show. Cat's thinking about doing a regular “Blog of the Week” segment, so if you put our logo on your page, you'll probably stand out from the others. I'll get the images uploaded to our site tomorrow. I think we'll be naming her daily spot “Cat's Clicks.” It just makes sense – and it clicks. So to speak. And speaking of speaking, my younger brother (in Iowa) must have seen today's show. I got a message from him saying that he could bark better than I could. Because, you see, we had a netcammer whose dog wigged out in the middle of his call. It was rather humorous. It sounded like he already knew the answer to his question though. And, as I waas told after the show, if you buy RAM for a Dell computer from someone other than Dell, you could be voiding your warranty. That, and Crucial.com doesn't sell Rambus sticks. I haven't verified either point yet.

There's no reason to be embarrassed. MOST men your age have never worn a suit. Doesn't matter.
Your problem is time. You have a very limited number of places to shop because what makes a suit look good is fabric and custom fit. Fitting in 24 hours isn't very common.
If you don't HAVE to get a suit, I would stay with a sport coat because you'll use it more often in the future. The classic allseason-wool blue blazer is an absolute must in every man's wardrobe. It has unmatched versatility.
A suit or coat covers a huge part of your body. Think simplicity and subtlety. Cool colors look more formal. Black belt, and black shoes. Don't wear jewelry. If all you have is a casio watch, leave it at home.
Shoes matter. Dorothy and the Wicked Witch fought to the death over them.
A very nice shirt and tie can make up for a cheap suit. This is where stylish men assert their personalities. And you have a huge personality

*Checks the color of my nose in the mirror*… Nope, only a light shade of tan. I'll try harder! ;-)

So, where are Ali and Roger? Is Cat taking over for Ali now? I mean I love Cat, but I must have missed (although I doubt it) the show where Ali was leaving?????

Wow, thanks for all the clothing advice, Paul! Now, just to convince Chris that he may actually have more than the occasional need to wear dress clothes someday…
Now we know what we need to put this week's toward! *smile* Hey, what woman doesn't want an excuse to take her husband shopping?
