I recently found an inexpensive camcorder that I plan on buying: the Flip (about $100). It isn’t firewire but it is inexpensive and easy to use. It may be worth Michael’s time to check it out to see if it would be appropriate. My prayers for his mom. I agree the MacBook would be the best option, if they can afford it.

I also recommend the MacBook. When people are ill, they don’t want to be connecting things with cables, and my experience in Thailand with the MacBook is it’s really simple.
