Azureus code inside remains GPL. Azureus is almost the one to run in 64Bit native on Vista ( with JRE x64 and SWT x64 not included in installation ). And if you install mlDHT you will have both Mainline DHT ( bitcomet, bittorent, utorrent and others ) and the AzDHT ( Azureus specific DHT ) with PEX support for all clients. It's also one of the most advanced torrent client in the encryption domain. So yes Vuze (formerly Azureus) take more memory and more CPU cycles than others first class torrent client but is much more powerful and multiplatform because of java.

Azureus is not that slow. You cannot be sure what the developers will put in there! (DRM protection, tracking, etc?). Downloading speeds are about the same. Azureus uses more resources because it's Java-based.

Azureus is open source. uTorrent is closed source. And now that utorrent is owned by BitTorrent, Inc, do you know that they are trying daily to get into bed with the same content companies that love the RIAA/MPAA so much. How easy it is to get people to sell out - make a "better" product that calls home and gives them everything they need to know to put you down.

utorrent is closed source. sure they aren’t keeping data on you? # Fully-automated upgrade process not correct. fully automated means no input from user. You gotta click the upgrade button ;-) AzCVSUpdater for Azureus is truely fully automated.
When you were using Azureus, you obviously didn't use AzCVSUpdater, ScaneRSS, SpeedScheduler or any of the extra plugins that extend Az's functionality even further. And you didn't even mention seeding, something utorrent is terrible at.
Perhaps you should change your description to - the best bittorrent client for non-seeders :-0

# A single binary, no other files – that’s not correct. utorrent needs files in appdata/utorrent<br
