Use The Force
Well, I've got a new P4 system to build here. I can't tell you much about its specs, though. I have the hardware ready to rock, but I
feel strange doing it on my lonesome. Wanna come over and help me build it? Food and drink will be provided, and I'll even send you home with hardware I can't use anymore. It could mean a completely new system for YOU. I'm trying to get this done as quickly as possible. I live in the Castro now, and Sprocket would love to see ya. I'm not expecting to get much takers from this post, because most of you don't live in the Bay area - and if I don't know you at all yet, then we may have to wait until a better time to get together with a group of people. I'd post something in a newsletter, but the signal to noise ratio would be even worse. Help me Obi-Wan Kenobi. You're my only hope.

Yeah, Chris, I'd love to help ya out too, but I'm just about 3300 miles away. Someday I'm gonna do the drive from Maine to SF, I tell ya, just so I can see all of you.
It's not exactly a Gnometome, but [cough] http://www.techtv.com/shopping/booksandvideos/story/0,23350,3352873,00.html :-/ - then again, would you really want them there when you were building your own system?

I'd come but unfortunately I work and don't get a vacation until the first of the year. Can you wait until then? This old Celeron 333 really needs to be retired.

I thought you just built a new system a few months ago ? or are you building it for someone else ? Anyway, what are the specs. on the new system ? I'm planning on building one in the new year. Maybe a 3ghz P4 (by that time).

Chris - time for another Gnome-first - set a time, turn on the webcam and Netmeeting on your laptop, and let's have a “Virtual Build” - nothing like advice from all over the country to make for a fun time! It would be an “inverted Call for Help”! Would that be “Call To Help”?

Well, if I didn't live in Chicago, this old Gnomie from way back when would be happy to come and help. Though I think Sprocket would flip out at the scent of pet rabbit on me.

Are you serious? Chris needs help building a computer? I suspect something more behind this post expecially since all the responses were kept Anonymous.
