I just bought the newer version for £40, looks like a good deal to me :)
It’s the VMS-004 with a 400x magnification. I hope they improved the software though. Not that I have any experience with it yet but from what I read here, it’s not superb.

It looks just like my old Intel microscope! It handles just like it and sells for the same price that it previously sold for years ago.

For $100 thats a pretty good deal. The software would definitely need an over haul though if anyone but kids would want to use it. And i know plenty of adults, including to me, who would like to screw around with this.

Chris… if I had something that gave me this many problems, it would have been kicked out of the door a long time ago. What I don’t understand is why in the heck they don’t include Mac software. It makes NO sense what so ever. More and more people are switching to mac, so that should be even more of a reason to include the software. I think they lost quite a few people because of that. :( Oh well… their problem!

its probably because your using the emulator. that would obviously be the thing posing the problem for newly detected hardware. if you could manage service pack 3, i have never had explorer crash once. same as internet explorer. if you dont know where to get a service pack 3 i could email you a reg file.
