Upload Videos and Track Stats
Seems that some of y’all have been paying attention to what I’ve been complaining about for several months (most recently, in a post outlining the frustrations of the way video networks are handling processed video).
I don’t have the time, energy, or patience to upload the same video file to more than one site. Video networks are hungry for new content, but they’re not doing a very good job at mitigating the risk a producer must take (in spending time transferring a large video that may get a lousy sum of qualified views). Through the grapevine, I’ve heard of at least three services that are aiming to become the upload distribution point for produced video content.
In essence, I upload to one service – and from there, that video is re-uploaded to a growing number of video indexes. I realize that Veoh has had this feature, but it’s limited in scope and doesn’t offer more than a couple of networks (one of which is likely to disappear at some point).
Video statistics across networks will need to get better, too – and I bet TubeMogul will be acquired within months (damn, I should’ve asked for a cut). Advantage to the sneezer who has the advertising and statistical models in check – and I think YuMe is the one to watch there.

video announcement, thinking they meant to have advertising IN videos, not AS videos on regular sites. Even though I was wrong about that, if Chris is right, companies are catching on to the fact that this is what video publishers want, you know, besides effective tracking of video statistics. That’s why, if you’re planning on truly cashing in on this video trend, you have to start learning about video and how to mass produce it, now. Particularly if you have a quality infoproduct line, this could be the answer to the prayers of so many

Thanks for the mention, Chris. I don’t know that we’ll be acquired within months, but we certainly plan on continuing to pay attention to what ails you in the world of online video!

Yes, I share the same paint as u in having to spend so much time uploading video to so many different sites. Beside looking at softawre to solve my problem, i was also looking at online services. Then, i came across TubeMogul and Vidmix. TubeMogul is a better choice for me at the moment as it can submit at once to 12 sites. Will check out YuMe as u’ve recommended.
Thanks a lot for sharing.
