Universal Remote Control (for Spies)

This small little key chain is the “Micro Spy Remote”. It’s a mini Universal remote control that will fit in your pocket. Next time you’re stuck somewhere watching a television program that makes you crazy… try this out and watch the chaos ensue.

Let’s say you’re stuck in an airport for several hours, and the only place left to eat is in a bar. Everyone is drinking, and whooping it up over a sports game you could care less about. Or maybe… you’re at a friend’s house, and they’re watching a movie about something you would rather eat poison than watch. Heck, maybe you’re at home, and your significant other is watching a balloon flying through the air… for the fifth hour in a row!

This is when you need the Micro Spy Remote from ThinkGeek. You can aim it at almost any television in the world, and push a button… voila! It will come up with the proper code to access the tv. You can then change the channel, turn the volume up or down, or even shut the set off! No one will be the wiser, since this remote is so tiny, it’s easy to miss.

This little universal remote is the newest (secret) weapon in your arsenal to confuse hoards of TV viewers and perhaps save the free world as we know it. In seconds (just hold the mute button until the TV target mutes), you can take control of almost any television set, thus preventing S.M.U.S.H. propaganda from brainwashing what the Americans so cleverly refer to as “couch potatoes” (though, really, would anyone notice?)

I think I’ll see how much money is left in my checking account, and order several of these for my friends’ Christmas presents!

pretty cool remote chris. i think this remote would be a great stocking stuffer for this chrismas holiday.. I would buy one. and i think all my kids would love to have one al well. would also like to say great review and keep up the good work ..

I think that these little spy remotes will be an excellent christmas gift but I think if the wrong person finds you using them you might get in a lot of trouble cause some people dont like being amused.

This would be useful when my parents are playing their TV too loud when I’m trying to nap. This is weird, because it’s usually the parents yelling about those crazy kids and their loud music…

I’ve actually used my Compaq IPAQ to do the same thing in my Dr’s office. It comes with NEVO software to control almost anything IR(IfraRed).

This will probably be one of the most entertaining thing for me for some time.

you rule! Greatest prank ever!

You can just buy those at gas stations, you can change channels too

I hate this man to the very depths of whatever scraps of a soul I still have. Stop explaining that it’s your “email” address, and just get on with the damn video. honestly, stop trying. If you’re a geek, but not a funny one, you don’t belong on a show.

I think the guys at Gizmodo had fun with one of these at CES…

i just got one but it doesnt ******* work

On thinkgeek, it says it works on most European TVs… does it work on most tvs in North America, too?

i want to try this at the airport lol

moron… you dont like sports

were did u get tht from?????????

dealextreme (google it)

If you take this to Wal-Mart, it takes only 2 seconds to take control/shut off a TV because they’re programmed to work with Universal Remotes without set up ^_^ I went to the TV section and turned off like 8 TVs.

Flaws:

1) However, it doesn’t work with the TVs suspended from the ceiling, for reasons I don’t know.

2) It’s hard to turn off all the TVs at the same time, because they’re so close together the signal could get caught by a TV already turned off next to it.

Mine arrived yesterday. On a trip to Sam’s Club, it shut off about 5 TVs. I love seeing people’s reaction and personell running around :) All we need are more codes…

What Do You Think?
