Tyler Welch on Microsoft MVPs and Gateway PCs

Every now and then Chris and Jake mention being part of the Microsoft MVP Program. As much griping about things like Outlook and interface bugaboos in Windows Vista as the show sometimes contains, you might think this stands for “most vocal protestor” or something equal derogatory. The official name is really Most Valuable Professional, which more appropriately translates to Most Passionate Users or the people who are nominated by people at Microsoft and other MVPs as being actively involved in the Windows community at large. Here Chris talks with Tyler Welch about the MVP Program at Microsoft, what it is, how it works and how someone becomes an MVP. Later on, they dive into Tyler’s past role at Gateway, talking about Chris’s recent computer purchase and how Gateway measures up to the competition.
