I am using Mozilla FireFox, and although the Acrobat Reader (8) is loaded as a plug-in, the ‘Internet’ tab under Acrobat display settings launches the Internet Explorer 7 settings!

I would assume then, that Acrobat is ‘crappily’ not looking at the default program settings in windows but referencing the some registry entry or something?

Any advice on how to point my ‘Email’ button to Thunderbird, for example, rather than Outlook?

If you take a look inside Acrobat’s (I don’t use Reader, but the full blown version instead) you can tweak a few performance settings too.

Yesterday Acrobat was crashing, and I needed to get into a PDF quickly, so I just opened it in Photoshop instead – a useful trick when needed!
