I'd really like Cleartype to work like the normal anti-aliasing. Clean for 6-12 pt, anti-aliased above and below that and anti-aliased for bold. But all you really get with Cleartype is ON-OFF. As for Safari. Note that IE7 tries hard to turn Cleartype on for browsing but you can turn it off in the advanced settings. Isn't there an equivalent switch in Safari?
