<!--%kramer-ref-pre%-->[...] We have used Keynote's Streaming Perspective to track the quality and overall availability of YouTube's videos, but until reading Chris Pirillo's blog I did not realize that there was a way to track total viewership on YouTube.. his post is here..The site is TubeMogul and is very simple to use. I was able to compare the total views of videos published by CBS to the videos published by NBC. You could also use it to generate graphs of viewership tied to a single video. If you compare the channel statistics using YouTube's channel profile you will find that CBS has 277k channel views and 22,000 subscribers... NBC has 176k channel views and 4,826 subscribers. CBS clearly seems to be leading the way with regard to their adoption of YouTube. Therefore, when I viewed the TubeMogul statistics it was a surprise to see that NBC showed 2.4M total views in October compared with 1M views for CBS in October. The results are not entirely out of the question (back in June NBC received 5 M views of "Lazy Sunday" before sending the cease and desist), but it is a little suspect. Especially since results for NBC in November currently show a negative number. So, while there might be some things to work out TubeMogul's results - I very much liked the interface and think that publishers will find the information useful as long as it is accurate.
I'm about to check out the TubeMogul site. I landed here after searching for YouTube Stats. We've been providing YouTube stats since last September on our YouTube Top 100 Weekly Chart at http://www.bkserv.net/YTS/YTTop100.aspx
We also allow people to sign up to track their own number of profile views, number of subscribers, number of video views and number of comments. Please have a look if you're interested; thanks!

Very interesting.. I compared stats for NBC and CBS .. very interesting numbers and the tool is certainly simple to use. Not completely convinced of the accuracy, but I think authors will find it generally useful to track overall traffic trends..
